    For people who want to see the amazing coral reefs without getting wet! Watch the underwater world through a magnifying glass on the sde of the boat from the lower deck. The lower deck has a depth of around 2-3m. This makes the marine life visible.

    The boat departs from Port Ghalib. Choose from the different options:

    Nefertari / Seascope - around a 2-hour cruise in the morning to visit the reefs.

    Mega Nefrarti - Afternoon cruise: a snorkeling stop, visiting reefs, seafood dinner. 1-hour for shopping when returning back to Port Ghalib.

GETTING AROUND

  • Resorts will be busy after Ramadan as Egyptian families travel to celebrate Eid. Ramadan is a sacred month during which Muslims fast from dawn until sunset. In 2025, Ramadan is set to begin on the evening of Friday 28th February, lasting for 30 days and ending at sundown on Saturday 29th March.
  • If you like to do your bit for the environment, Wadi El-Gemal National Park is the perfect place to visit. Known for its incredible mix of marine and desert ecosystems, the park also invites volunteers to participate in beach clean-ups and assist with turtle nest counts, contributing to its vital conservation efforts.

    Visit the ancient city of Berenice, home to fascinating historical sites such as the Bedouin Museum, the ruins of the Temple of Semiramis, and the emerald mine remains in Wadi Sakai. To the north, you'll find the celebrated Wadi El Gemal National Park (Valley of the Camels), renowned for its 60km deep wadi (dry riverbed), mangrove forests, coral reefs, seagrass beds, salt marshes, and palm groves, offering a unique blend of nature and history.

    Hamata offers a selection of fantastic scuba diving spots, or you may prefer snorkelling at Satayah Reef, where you could come face to face with a pod of playful dolphins. Lahami Bay’s turquoise lagoons and white sands are secluded and peaceful, leading into a wonderful house reef where you can dive from early morning into the night. You can also take a boat trip to some amazing dive sites that were previously only accessible by liveaboard.
