Submerge yourself in the intriguing underwater world of the Northern Red Sea where you can dive awe-inspiring wrecks including one which you will find on almost every diver's bucket list, the SS Thistlegorm. This famous World War II wreck gives divers a glimpse into the past with her sunken cargo of armaments, BSA motorbikes and trucks.
Ras Mohamed National Park is close by and home to the Dunraven, a British Steamship that sunk over 140 years ago. She now lies upside down by the reef, her hull is encrusted with coral and teeming with schools of Batfish, Nudibranchs and on occasional the elusive Ghost Pipefish can be seen.
These wrecks can be reached by boat on a day trip from Sharm El Sheikh, and apart from the wonderful history they also offer an exciting array of marine life and are a popular choice for those divers that are also underwater photography enthusiasts as the spectacular photo opportunities are endless!
